Brief introduction
 
 HD sodium hypochlorite generator works through the electrolysis of salt water. The whole system
 consists of electrolysis electrode assembly, rectification power and automatic control system, dissolving
 system, filtering system, ratio device and so on. The salt water is electrolyzed into sodium hypochlorite
 while sodium hypochlorite is a kind of disinfectant which get strong antivirus and bleach power. The
 strong oxidant is widely used to sterilize in food processing enterprises, nuclear power plant, thermal
 power plant circulating water system, petrochemicals, printing and dyeing enterprises, drinking water,
 hospitals and cities.
 Disinfect Principle of NaClO
 Sodium hypochlorite can be used to sterilize as it can be hydrolyzed into hypochlorous acid, and 
 hypochlorous acid can be resolved into nascent oxygen. This will change the nature of protein in thallus
 and virus, pathogenic microbes are killed. Moreover, hypochlorous acid can not only act on cell walls and
 outer skin of virus, but also in the body of thallus and virus (as the hypchlorous acid molecule is quite
 small and uncharged). Once more, Cl+ will change the permeate pressure of thallus and virus, therefore,
 cell lose activity and die.
 Principle Outline
 The reaction equation of the electrolysis of the generator:
 NaCl+ H2O = NaClO + H2↑
 The electrolysis process of sodium hypochlorite generator is a process of electrochemistry. The only
 materials needed are salt and water, the NaClO solution produced is very pure. Though the principle is
 simple, there are quite a lot of qualifications. So various factors must be taken into consideration when
 designing the electrolytic electrode, like compact and reasonable structure, energy saving operation,
 convenient operation and maintenance, high operation reliability, long service life.

1.1,Project Overview:
hospital need 500L available chlorine per day for concentration of 5% sodium hypochlorite
solution ,The hospital used sodium hydroxide solution to absorb chlorine before ,
Formation of 5.25 to 6% sodium hypochlorite solution,Every preparation as below:
A,Material
a,95.75Lwater.
b,6.65 kg of powdered sodium hydroxide(NaOH).
c,5.25kg chlorine(CL2).
d ,Reaction equation:2NaOH+CL2=NaCLO+NaCL+H2O
B,Production methods:
a,6.65 kg of powdered sodium hydroxide dissolved in water 95.75L water to form sodium
hydroxide solution to about 7% .
b ,5.25 kg of chlorine through sodium hydroxide solution, using sodium hydroxide to
absorb chlorine,Chlorine absorption rate to 100% basis, will receive a chlorine
concentration of about 5.5%(5.5%=55000ppm)naclo solution.
C,Hospital daily need to use 500L sodium hypochlorite solution produced by the above
method.
1.2,Because chlorine is highly toxic chemicals are gaseous , easily distributed, once the
leak can be quickly fatal human life , and the use of sodium hydroxide solution to absorb
chlorine, generally require fully enclosed space within the absorption cycle times , and not
in the open structure , a single absorption of chlorine absorption rate will not exceed 95% ,
which is likely to have chlorine portion will be distributed to the surrounding people or
animals would be great harm.
1.3,Hospitals use this mixed with the detergent sodium hypochlorite solution , for hospital
bed sheets, quilt , clothing, etc. bleaching , cleaning, sterilization , in a detergent solution of
sodium hypochlorite solution is to add a small amount of detergent solution contains final
form the concentration of sodium hypochlorite should be between 100 ~ 200ppm, not too
high, because sodium hypochlorite has a very strong oxidizing and corrosive , if the water
in contact with the bed sheets, quilt , clothing containing chlorine is too high, these clothes
will soon corrosion .

1.4,the program intends to use brine electrolysis to produce sodium hypochlorite
solution , site preparation chlorine concentration of 0.8% (8000ppm) sodium
hypochlorite solution containing sodium hypochlorite generator room space layout ,
system configuration , fully automated operation without personnel on-site care,
Preparation of sodium hypochlorite solution automatically stored in sodium hypochlorite
storage tank , there is no volatility, the safe use of sodium hypochlorite generator can be
all-day 24-hour operation.

2.2,Selection based on:

chlorine is : 500L × 5.25% = 26.25 kg / day.
2.2.2,Need available chlorine per hour : 26.25 kg / day ÷ 24 hours / day = 1.1 kg/
hour ( 24 hours ) .
26.25 kg // day ÷ 20 hours / day = 1.3 kg / hour ( 20 hours ) .
2.2.3,So choose the specifications:1.5 kg / h , namely HD-1.5K-NaCLO,
uninterrupted operation of the device is 24 hours available chlorine : 1.5 kg /
hour × 24 hours / day = 36 kg / day.
2.2.4,Converted into 5% sodium hypochlorite solution in an amount of : 36 kg
