When it comes to producing titanium bars, Daxun is the one you can trust.

Hot-rolled Titanium bars
Titanium bars are heated in the rolling mill and rolled through multiple passes. The specifications are complete and the performance meets the standards and requirements.
Cold-drawn bright titanium bars
Cold-drawn titanium bars are titanium bars drawn under cold working conditions. They have a smooth surface and can also be polished and ground.
Forged titanium bars
Forged titanium bars are forged multiple times to improve the mechanical properties and higher strength of the titanium bars.

Detailed Introduction of Grade 5 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Rod
Grade 5 Titanium Rod

Daxun Jiangsu Daxun Alloy Co., Ltd. houses a state-of-the-art production facility in China that specializes in the manufacture of high-precision Grade 5 titanium bars. Our products boast exceptional surface finish, tolerance, straightness, and material quality, ensuring technological leadership and consistent production processes. These superior qualities are maintained across a wide range of diameters and materials. Additionally, our extensive stock program at our service center facilitates just-in-time delivery.
SPECIFICATIONS
AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
HEAT TREATMENT
For applications requiring high hardness, tensile strength, and fatigue strength, annealing can be performed at temperatures between 1,700-1,900°F (927 - 1,038°C).
The DAXUN 6-4™ Grade 5 alloy offers versatile heat-treating options to meet various needs.
1. Anneal: 1,275 -1,400°F; (691 - 760°C), ½ to 2 hours, air or furnace cool
2. Stress Relief Anneal: 1,000 -1,200°F; (538 - 649°C), 1 to 8 hours, air or furnace cool
3. Solution Heat Treat: 1,675 -1,750°F; (913 - 954°C), 1 hour, water quench
4. Aging: 975 -1,025°F; (524 - 552°C), 4 to 8 hours - air cool
In the solution-treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections ensures optimal properties. Larger sections or delayed quenching may yield less optimal properties.
HARDNESS
Typical hardness is Rockwell C 30-34 in the annealed condition and Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution-treated and aged condition.
Forgeability/Formability
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is forged at 1,750°F; (954°C) with a final forging temperature of 1,450°F; (788°C). A minimum reduction of 35% is recommended for optimal properties.
Forming Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar at room temperature is challenging, even in the annealed condition. Therefore, severe forming operations like bending or stretching should be performed on annealed material at temperatures up to 1,200°F; (649°C) to maintain mechanical properties. Hot sizing or forming is achievable through creep forming within the 1,000 - 1,200°F; (538 - 649°C) range.
Machinability
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be machined using techniques suitable for austenitic stainless steel. This involves slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Weldability
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod boasts exceptional weldability, whether in the annealed state or in a solution and partially aged condition. Aging is achieved through post-weld heat treatment. It is crucial to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen to maintain its integrity. Fusion welding should be conducted either in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas to shield the molten metal and adjacent heated zones. Additionally, spot, seam, and flash welding can be performed without a protective atmosphere, ensuring versatility in various applications.
Special Considerations
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod requires meticulous handling to avoid contamination from hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon. Improper pickling, forging, heat treating, or brazing can introduce contaminants that significantly diminish ductility. Such contamination can lead to increased notch sensitivity and alter the forming characteristics, potentially compromising the alloy's performance.

Grade 2 Titanium Rod

Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
Important Note: Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
General Corrosion
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in various media are shown in Table 1. Commercially Pure (CP) titanium demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance in diverse environments, including:
Seawater and brines
Inorganic salts
Moist *** gas
Alkaline solutions
Oxidizing acids
Organics and organic acids
Sulfur compounds
Crevice Corrosion
CP titanium shows superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. It will not experience crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), irrespective of pH levels, even under super-chlorinated conditions.
Stress Corrosion Cracking
Grade 2 titanium offers remarkable resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Erosion Corrosion
Titanium exhibits outstanding resistance to erosion in flowing
seawater, maintaining integrity at velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec). The presence of abrasive particles, like sand, minimally affects corrosion.
Hydrogen Embrittlement
Titanium does not significantly absorb hydrogen when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically requires the following conditions:
pH is < 3 or > 12
Temperature exceeds 176°F (80°C)
A mechanism for hydrogen generation is present, such as a galvanic couple or impressed current.
Bio-Corrosion
Titanium alloys exhibit an unparalleled resistance to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Remarkably non-toxic to marine life, biofouling in seawater is a possibility. However, this can be effectively minimized through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity within heat exchangers, ensuring optimal performance.
Corrosion Fatigue: A Detailed Insight
Titanium stands out from many other materials by maintaining its fatigue performance even in the presence of seawater. Its fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater, demonstrating its superior resilience.
Galvanic Corrosion: A Closer Look
Positioned near the noble end of the galvanic series, close to stainless steels, titanium typically acts as the cathode when paired with other metals, thereby remaining unaffected by galvanic corrosion. Instead, it may accelerate the corrosion of the coupled metal. When paired with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Superior Fatigue Properties
Grade 2 Titanium Rod notably maintains its fatigue properties even in seawater. Both its fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain unchanged regardless of whether the testing environment is air or seawater, emphasizing its durability.
Weldability: Key Considerations
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable with the right precautions. Its reactivity necessitates an inert gas shield on both the OD and ID of the rod. Additionally, the rod must be free from any grease or oil contamination to ensure a flawless weld.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rods are welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Employing low heat input is crucial to minimizing the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required for Titanium Rod.
