The brake shoe carries the brake block.The block was usually made of cast iron or composition material.When the brake is applied, the shoe moves and presses the block against the tread of the wheel.This scrubbing causes wear and tear on the wheel tread and often causes brake squeal.Tread brakes on passenger train have now largely been superseded by disc brakes.Locomotive brake shoes are available in both composition and cast iron material according to AAR M-926.Various size are available to suit your locomotive application. Product Features 1.For the speed of train:less than 100km/h. 2.Back Plate or Brake Shoe Support is made by cold stamping,material as mild carbon steel GB/T 700-2006 Q235B. 3.For the UIC Code: Material could be P10 according to UIC 832-2004 with pearl structure and Brinell hardness of 197 to 255HB. 4.For the Chinese Railway Specification,material requirement as TB/T 1661 and TB/T 3104 is as followings.
